CHS Announces January Students of the Month January Students of the Month

Congratulations to Mehgan Harsh and Michael Schaar for being selected as CHS Students of the Month.

Winter Homecoming Events Are Planned Winter Homecoming Court

The high school will be celebrating winter homecoming next week. The homecoming game will be Friday, January 31 against Canton South. The king and queen will be crowned between the JV and varsity basketball games. The homecoming dance will be held on Saturday, February 1st from 8 pm - 11 pm at the high school. Presale tickets for the dance will be sold at lunch for $5. Tickets at the door will cost $10. BCC students can show their Buckeye ID at the door Saturday night to receive presale prices.

For anyone interested, the National ACT will be given at Carrollton High School on Saturday, February 8th. The deadline for registration is Friday, January 10. The cost of the test is $50.50 and an additional $16.50 ($67) for the writing (fee waivers are available for free and reduced lunch participants). The late registration deadline is Friday, January 17, but this requires an additional fee for being late. The next ACT will be Saturday, April 4th, but it will not be held at Carrollton High School.

Public Notice: Proposed Class Action Settlement Doe v. Ohio Department of Education.  The State of Ohio, the Governor, the Ohio Department of Education, and other state-level defendants to a class action lawsuit have reached a proposed settlement and have requested our District’s assistance in informing students and parents of the proposed settlement.  A link to the settlement is below.  To be clear, our District is NOT a defendant in this lawsuit and is not accused of any wrongdoing in this lawsuit. We are sharing this information as a courtesy to the Ohio Department of Education and our community: Notice of Proposed Class Action Settlement Doe v.
