Federal Appeals Court Strikes Down ACA’s Individual Mandate
A U.S. Court of Appeals decided on Wednesday (Dec 18) that the part of the Affordable Care Act that required Americans to have health coverage or pay a penalty is unconstitutional.
TO ALL FULL-TIME CEVSD STAFF:
The above court action means that you are no longer mandated to have health coverage and will no longer be required to show evidence of healthcare coverage. The school, however, is still required to electronically file with the IRS, the ACA 1095C forms showing who has full-time status and the months you had or did not have healthcare coverage in 2019.
Because you are no longer required to show evidence of coverage, I am choosing not to mail the forms to you, as permitted by the change in the ACA law. However, anyone who would like to have their 1095C form can email me at email@example.com or by mailing the request to me at 205 Scio Rd SW, Carrollton OH 44615. Any requests should let me know how you would like to receive it (email, interoffice mail, or USPS mail). The information in this email will also be made available on our website soon, which is a requirement for me to skip the mailing of these forms.
If you have any questions, you may call me at 330-627-2181.
