Darin Abel
Assistant Principal

Welcome to Dellroy Elementary School

Where every child can learn and will be challenged to achieve!

The staff at Dellroy Elementary believes we must create an environment where the success of our children is the primary focus.  Their success academically, socially, and emotionally is at the center of everything we do and every decision we make.

Our Ohio Department of Education Highly Qualified teaching staff is made up of thirteen teachers.  We provide instructional support for all learners through the use of intense data driven instruction.  In our fully included classrooms the Title I teacher, Intervention Specialist, Math & Reading Coach, Speech Teacher and educational aides provide whole group, small group and individualized instruction for all students.

Dellroy Elementary believes in a collaborative effort between the school, parents, and community.  Therefore, we work with various agencies to provide our children with many support services and opportunities to experience success.  Throughout the school year we work with Carroll County Juvenile Court, Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, Dellroy Fire Department, as well as various community organizations and businesses.  Dellroy Elementary would greatly welcome organizations, agencies and businesses, in our communities, who would like to work with us to support our children.

We place a great emphasis on character building and good citizenship through the use of high quality programs such as the Positive Behavior Program, L3, (LISTEN , LEARN, LEAD), as well as, the Character Counts Program.

Families and community members are invited to participate in highly supported  activities during the year with the children such as Family Fun Night, Book Fairs, Grandparents Day and Right to Read Week, to name a few.  Our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) strongly supports our children in a multitude of ways, in and out of the classroom.  The group meets the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the school cafeteria.  We encourage everyone to join us to continue building a strong relationship between home and school.

Supporting our children, giving them the opportunities to expand their horizons, and celebrating their successes is paramount in our school as demonstrated by the implementation of our
