Harlem Wizards Come To CHS!

On Monday, October 27,  2014, the Harlem Wizards are coming to play the Carrollton staff in the CHS gym. The game starts at 7:00 p.m., and the doors open at 6:00 p.m.. You can buy tickets at the door, or buy them online at www.harlemwizards.com for a lower price. Buying online for students costs $8.00 and for the general public it costs $10.00. Tickets at the door for students will cost $10.00 and $12.00 for the general public.

Senior College Application Event at Carrollton High School

On Thursday, October 30th, the Carrollton High School guidance staff and senior language arts teachers are sponsoring a Senior College Application Event. All Carrollton High School seniors (including vocational school, dual enrollment and Power Digital Academy seniors) will be encouraged to participate in a state-wide initiative to have the Class of 2015 seniors complete at least one college application during their senior year. Seniors will be using their language arts class time, lunch time, study hall time, after school and evening hours to work with school staff and several local admission counselors to complete as many applications as they choose. The event will be going on from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. CHS seniors not attending the high school building are welcome to be a part of the event anytime from 7:30 pm-6 pm, following proper visitor procedures during the school hours.

Cross Country Races Towards Regionals

On Saturday, October 18, the Girls and Boys Cross Country teams competed at District Championships. The girls won for the second year in a row and qualified for Regionals. Defending her District Champion title, Maddie Dunlap placed first for the girls followed by Hailey Wells as runner-up. Janesa Bell, Emmy Days, and Kierra Gubesch earned first team All Districts and ran lifetime bests. Maddie Formet and Rachel Devine recorded season best times. District Runner Up Cole Lovett and All District Quinton Huggett will race at Regionals as individuals. On Saturday, October 25, the Warriors will compete at Pickerington North High School for the chance to run at the State Championship on November 1st. The boys will run at 11:45 A.M. and the girls at 3 P.M.
