Honors Diploma Requirments

1. English- 4 units of enriched or college prep

2. Mathematics- 4 units of college prep level

3. Science- Enriched Biology, Chemistry, physics, and one other

4. Social studies- 4 units of enriched or college prep

5. Foreign Language- 3 units

6. Fine Arts- 1 unit

7. Grade Point Average- 3.5 or higher

8. A composite score of 27 on the ACT or 1210 on the SAT (excluding writing)

 

The President's Award

To honor students for their outstanding academic achievement, awards are presented to students graduating from high school who meet the following criteria:

  • 3.5 Grade Point Average
  • 85% score on ACT or SAT
    -ACT (27 math or 28 reading)
    -SAT(Math or Science)

 

Award Of Merit

This certificate is awarded by the State Board of Education to all seniors who meet the following criteria:

  • College preparatory requirements- 4 English, 3 Mathematics, 3 Science, 3 Social Studies, 3 Foreign Language, and 2 additional units
  • Maintain above average attendance(94%)
  • Earn a 3.25 or higher GPA
  • Participate in atleast 4 co-curricular, extracurricular or community activities
  • Demonstrate outstanding citizenship/character traits
